July 2026 Release Notes
Welcome to our July 2026 release notes
Less chasing. More assurance. This release makes more of the client follow-up happen automatically, shows you what is late before a client tells you, and gives you finer control over how each signature is captured.
For the full story behind these changes, read the blog post: What's New in MyDocSafe: Less Chasing, More Assurance.
What's new
- Workflow deadlines – set a deadline on any workflow as a fixed calendar date or a number of days after sending. Overdue, due-today and due-tomorrow items are highlighted in your lists, and proposals show their deadline in the table with inline editing.
- Automatic reminders – when a workflow has a deadline, MyDocSafe can email the client before it arrives. Choose the timing in Company Settings (a week before, three days before, the day before, on the day, or any combination) and attach a custom message in your firm's own voice.
- Per-signer signature control – signature type and any additional authentication can now be set per signer rather than for the whole document, including Advanced Electronic Signature (AES) and Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) where a matter calls for stronger identity assurance. Prices for AES and QES are shown as you make each choice.
- Document uploads inside workflows – a new upload document widget can be added to any workflow as a step, with rich-text instructions. Files land in the client's portal Documents folder.
- Quick actions – a new launcher in the header puts the most common tasks a click away: send for signing, or create a contact, portal, prospect or task.
- API access – request access to the MyDocSafe API from your company settings, with documentation available in-app, to connect MyDocSafe with your practice management software, CRM or internal tools.
Improvements
- Portals
- Long intake and fact-find forms can be split across pages, with answers preserved as clients move between them
- Signing
- The signer filter shows contact names instead of raw email addresses
- The button at the end of the signing flow now says where it leads
- Your profile name is filled in from your verified identity
- If identity verification finishes after you have closed the tab, MyDocSafe emails you a link to resume
- Sign-in
- You can require sign-in on any document for any signer
- Signers are recognised as logged in immediately after signing up
- TaxNav
- Accountancy teams can open a client straight in TaxNavHQ from the client screen
- Appearance
- Dark mode fixes – light-on-light text and inconsistent backgrounds cleared up across many pages
Fixes
- The client-to-TaxNavHQ handoff, which had been misbehaving, is working again
- Advanced-signature documents no longer drop out of Sign Now
- Quote widget settings now save correctly
- Further fixes around Advanced signatures and payment-enabled workflows
Enjoy!
